Don't get caught out - prevention is better than cure

Apply micronutrients before any visual symptoms of deficiency are seen in the field.
Prevent micronutrient deficiencies to avoid the risk of yield losses or reduced crop quality.

Can you identify magnesium deficiency in oilseed rape?

Here is a quick reminder of what symptoms of magnesium deficiency can look like in oilseed rape.

Magnesium deficiency always shows initially on the older leaves first.
Chlorosis develops between the veins.
A narrow area on each side of the vein remains green
Later on, the leaf margins and intercostal chlorotic areas become necrotic.

Do you know the roles of micronutrients in oilseed?

All micronutrients have crucial roles in plants.
Some species have a higher requirement for certain micronutrients and so deficiencies of these are more likely.
A deficiency of any nutrient or micronutrient will result in loss of yield and quality.

Trials have confirmed yield increases of up to 0.7 T/ha in oilseed rape.
Cost of application is relatively low compared to the potential losses due to deficiency.
An autumn application can reduce the susceptibility of oilseed rape to disease and help to increase establishment
Apply throughout the growing season for peace of mind and to reduce the risk of micronutrient deficiencies.
