YaraBela AXAN

YaraBela AXAN

YaraBela AXAN (27% N + 9% SO3) is a uniform compound granular nitrate based nitrogen and sulphur fertiliser with an N:S ratio of 7.5:1 suitable for use on all crops

YaraBela AXAN contains nitrogen as nitrate and ammonium. Plants require nitrogen in the ammonium and nitrate forms, so by applying these forms the nutrients are immediately available for plant growth. Nitrates are the most efficient form of nitrogen and are key to achieving optimum yields.

YaraBela AXAN contains sulphur as calcium sulphate which is highly soluble and reaches plant roots quickly. Calcium sulphate does not reduce the proportion of available nitrate in the formulation, unlike ammonium sulphate.

YaraBela AXAN is a homogeneous, uniform-sized, high bulk density granular fertiliser for even spreading over wide bout widths and will spread consistently to 36m and beyond. Being a compound fertiliser both nitrogen and sulphur are contained in every granule which eliminates segregation and allows even application of all nutrients.
Cereals

Winter Wheat: 500-750 kg/ha applied in 2-3 splits between GS 31-37 Winter Barley: 500 kg/ha applied at GS 31-32. Spring Barley: 300 kg/ha at GS 13-20. Exact recommendation depends on soil analysis and nutrient management plan. Refer to your local Yara area manager for detailed recommendation.

EXTRA ADVICE

Fertilizer Spreading Advice: When spreading fertilizers containing sulphur it is recommended to regularly clean the spreader vanes using a rag with a 'WD40' type lubricant to avoid a build-up of deposits.

What do other farmers say?

David Parke Castlewellan, Northern Ireland

"Consistency and keeping quality in storage means Yara Axan always spreads well and the spinner keeps clean even when some fertiliser is kept to be spread later. Spreading YaraMila with its consistent bulk density and particle size means a near-perfect pattern can be achieved".

Andrew Reed Berwick upon Tweed, England

"Here on our farm, I find the Yara Axan is ideal for what we are trying to get out of the crop. We only use Axan, so all the nitrogen is given to all crops with this fertiliser and the sulphur in Axan allows us to be applying sulphur each pass, which I believe is as key as the nitrogen "

Eurig Jenkins, Pentrefelin Farm, Lampeter, Wales

"When using YaraBela Axan, you split the bag it's always quality product and we never seem to get any stripes so the quality of the grass is as good as we can produce here"
