Healthy Crops Are More Disease Resilient

Abiotic stresses come in the form of extreme temperatures, too much or too little water and nutrient deficiencies; whereas biotic stresses are those caused by other living organisms such as viruses, bacteria and fungi i.e. yellow rust.
Using products that contain amino acids and peptides from vegetal origin (rather than animal) can help enhance the crop’s natural processes by stimulating phytohormonal responses and antioxidant defence mechanisms. Thereby making the crop more resilient to stresses that it may come under.
YaraAmplix OPTIVI is one such product, as well as the points mentioned, it also increases nitrogen use efficiency (NUE), which is particularly important this season where some rates might be sub-optimal due to constraints. Independent trials have shown that OPTVI increases the nitrogen use efficiency, meaning more N is taken up by the plant, which gave up to 5% increases in yield.
OPTIVI also has CE registration for the following claims: Improving NUE, improving tolerance to abiotic stress and increasing yield. In order to get CE registration, the claims need to be independently tested and verified. This means OPTIVI has been under rigorous testing to achieve this.
Apply at 1.5l/ha with either a T0.5 or T1 fungicide spray in cereals to enhance the crop’s own defence mechanisms, making it more resilient whilst also increasing its nitrogen uptake and use efficiency.
