Dry Ice Safety Guidelines

Solid Carbon Dioxide (Dry Ice) is very cold: -78 °C. It sublimes (turns from a solid) to a gas that is heavier than air with asphyxiating qualities. A small amount  of Dry Ice will sublime to a large volume of gas.

How to use Dry Ice

  • DO NOT allow direct contact with Dry Ice 
  • DO NOT put Dry Ice into drinks
  • ALWAYS keep Dry Ice away from children
  • ALWAYS use an insulated container to store dry ice
  • ALWAYS store in a well ventilated area
  • DO NOT place in a working refrigerator or freezer
