Yara's Carbon Dioxide is produced from ammonia production by a steam reforming process, this is one of the purest production methods available for food and beverage grade CO2 and also the most cost efficient. Carbon Dioxide CO2 is also an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional refrigerated transport systems or for water pH control.
CO2 has many uses including carbonation in beverages, freezing/chilling food, modified atmosphere packaging (MAP), stunning for meat and poultry, growth enhancement in greenhouses, blast cleaning in the electronics industry, water treatment and effluent treatment and refrigerated transport.
