Carbon Dioxide

Yara's Carbon Dioxide (CO₂) is recovered from ammonia production by a steam reforming process, therefore all our commercial CO2 is also an environmentally beneficial product. Not only is is one of the purest production methods available for food and beverage grade CO₂ it is also the most cost efficient.

CO₂ has many uses including carbonation in beverages, freezing/chilling food, modified atmosphere packaging (MAP), stunning for meat and poultry, growth enhancement in greenhouses, blast cleaning in the electronics industry, water treatment and effluent treatment and refrigerated transport.
