Liquid NPK range

Chafer liquid NPKs are a neutral non hazardous product. They are manufactured under a registered quality control process to guarantee product analysis and durable quality.

Chafer droplet

Phosphate containing grades use APP (Ammonium Poly-Phosphate) rather than the alternative method of phosphoric acid (white acid) which ensures products remain stable in farm storage.

All nutrients used in liquid compounds are 100% water soluble and the addition of sulphur is an option for most grades. Liquid NPK products are ideal for self-application and may be mixed with pre-emergence agrichemical applications in certain situations.

The range of grades available to the grower is vast due to the ease of prescription blending of the various nutrients.

Application rate

Chafer Liquid NPK grades are expressed as kg plant nutrient per 100 litres of product for ease of calculation of any application rate.

Eg 100N-50 P205-50 K20 kg/ha is required for a given crop situation.

18-9-9 contains 18kgN - 9kgP205 - 9kgK20 per 100 litres of product.

Therefore the application rate is calculated as follows:

100kgN/18 X 100 litres/ha = 555 litres/ha.

Declaration by weight/volume means that knowing the specific gravity (product density) is not necessary when using Chafer Liquid NPK products. Growers using certain rate controllers may, however, need this value for automatic pressure adjustment – please ask your local Yara Area Manager for further information.

  • As per industry standard 'S' is now quoted as SO3 (oxide). To convert to elemental 'S' divide by 2.5.

  • All grades are declared as kg plant nutrient per 100 litres.

This is just a representative list of our NPK range. Prescription mixing of many other grades is readily available.
