Actyva - Active Crop Nutrition Programme for Arable Crops

The traditional method of managing the major nutrients has been to have a very soil focused approach with less attention given to the crop as to what and when its requirements for these nutrients are. ACTYVA from Yara seeks to address this imbalance, bringing all of its unique strengths in Crop Knowledge, Product Combinations and In-field Expertise together to produce a robust and reliable programme of crop nutrition that delivers the key nutrients at the times when crop demand is high.

Arable crops have their greatest demand for nutrients during the spring when rapid growth and development occurs. ACTYVA programmes develop crops with large efficient root system able to explore the soil profile and supply crop available nutrients to the rooting zone.

The ACTYVA concept of crop nutrition aims to provide fresh nutrients to the crop just prior to the period of rapid uptake. The nutrients are applied as a combination of solid fertilizer and foliar solutions in readily available forms. The form of nutrient is of particular importance as the crop requires a specific chemical formula to enable uptake through the leaf or root.
